I'm not saying this is the right way or not, but this is what we do with Maggie. She is 11 months old and can hold it all day. We normally go outside three times a day, however sometimes we may be gone all day. It took a while for her bladder muscles to get strong, but with time it happened. We started the training process by just adding a few minutes extra a day between outside business. Did take very long at all for her to catch on. We didn't start this type of training until she was six months old. They say between six and 12 months old is when they finally get their bladder muscles under control.
