Blazer recently started "fighting" me when it came to his nail clipping. I've played with his feet from the day he was born and he doesn't mind that but all of a sudden he didn't like his nails trimmed- especially the front nails. What I had been doing with him was having him on top of the tall garbage can and trimming the nails. But I started to trim them after his bath and now it is a breeze again! I'll give him his bath then while his nails are nice and soft I wrap him in the towel and lay him on his back on my lap. I take out his feet one at a time and clip the nails then put that foot back and take out the next. Works like a charm now! Plus, it helps me see the nails easier than when I let him stand so I get the nails shorter and smoother.
