Potty training HELP!!!!! We got our Charlie 1 month ago. I have never had a pet, so I have no
Clue what I am doing.
After speaking w some friends, I decided to pee pad train her. I have her right now, inside a child's playpen, her bed on one side, and her pee pad on the other. She seems to be fine with that. She always pees on the pad. But I eventually will need to get her out of there. As often as I can, I take her out of the play pen, and immediately put her on a pee pad that I have on the kitchen floor. She pretty much pees on demand, she comes for her treat, seems like she is getting it. She has gone on the kitchen floor pee pad on her own a couple of times, but it's very hit or miss. I don't let her roam around, because as soon as she hits the carpet, she wants to pee.
Am I confusing her training her on 2 separate pee pads? I am confused. Also when she is trained, and I leave her at moms for the weekend lets say, will she know to go on the pee pad, even though she is in a different place?
Any suggestions will help.... Thanks |
