Growing to their adult body size and being overweight are two different things. I think you are confusing the two. Yes, they can become overweight. My pups get a little heavier in the winter months, but they are not really overweight. I feed them twice a day and I give they healthy treats. I take better care of them than I do myself.....I might be a tat overweight.

If your baby's body grows to a 6 pound frame and he only weights 4 pounds then he will not be healthy. He will be underweight and sickly.
