I personally don't believe in raising anorexic dogs. Max was 4 pounds at 12 weeks. When I visited the breeder to choose a pup she said "don't pick that one. He's going to be a beast". Without further hesitation I brought home Max. I quadrupled his 12 week weight and he's now a lean 16 pound, floppy eared Yorkie. And like Lisa's dogs, he's off the charts in terms of providing me joy. His legs alone are probably 4 pounds of muscle. At least my back doesn't hurt because I don't have to lean over to pick him up.
