My local animal shelter First, has anyone heard of the outcome to this???
I visited with my local animal shelter today and they said that they have a 5 day waiting period and the "stray" dogs are kept in a seperate building (where they do their medical clinics - low cost spay, etc). They advertise on their website and in the local papers to call and check with the animal shelters for lost pets.
On the 6th day, the dogs are put out with the others for adoption....and this just depends on their temperament....if they are too shy, aggrassive, etc. They stay in the clinic area until they are either claimed or become accustomed to the workers and the other dogs.
Just wanted to share this...........and I hope to hear something soon about this little Yorkie!!!
