Some dogs especially puppies have a problems if local water has too many minerals. Gerber water is the same as distilled water where all the minerals are taken out, a few are added back for better taste. These few minerals don't seem to bother the pups, it's when water is overloaded. You're right, some, not all, Gerber water doesn't have any fluoride, but I don't think that's what's causing the problem. I did buy some with fluoride and it still worked for Joey when he was a puppy. He outgrew the problem and can drink regular water now without any tearing. I doubt if the water would help with your dog, since you are going to a specialist, I would continue to tell him the problem is back and let him try to figure out what's causing it. However, the water is only one dollar and it can't harm you're dog, so you could try it, but I would continue seeing the specialist. I wonder if a change of food with help?
