Jack is like this with Izzy sometimes or even our two daughters - specially if he is in momma's lap... he will stiffen up, focus on the "intruder" and growl. When he gets like this, I tell him "no" in a firm voice and proceed to place him on the ground. I then ignore him until he can "share" nicely. This works for us.
