Clyde was neutered at two years old, and it made a tremendous difference in his behavior. He listened to me better and he enjoyed spending time with me outdoors (he was always so distracted by females and marking his territory before being altered). He was a lot more relaxed (but still had energy) and other male dogs tried to attack him less. He stopped marking as much, but he still does some. To top it all off he won't have a chance of developing testicular cancer, as a poster above me mentioned. There were a LOT of benefits that came with neutering Clyde. I hope that your dad will change his mind with time since you don't plan on breeding him.

The only con is that he gained a pound since being neutered and is a little less muscle "tone", but he still is really cute and everything lol
