A non neutered dog can smell a dog in heat miles away and there are a lot of cases where dogs have really really hurt them selves trying to get to a dog in heat and ending up very injured, some dead, and some just completely lost. Yorkies are being stolen like crazy lately and a non fixed male is worth more money then a fixed one and he could get sold into a puppy mill. I also makes him not able to get testicular cancer. It is safe to do but you need to get the before blood work. It will not change your dogs attitude and it should not change that he is potty trained. Its also a good thing to do because of dog over population because there are always accidents with non fixed dogs.
