It's definately OK to let them sleep and stay together in one kennel if they are already used to it. Granted though, Having two is never a bad idea. It's OK for them to have alone time by themselves for a little bit each day. Kind of like naptime when we were little. It also helps if one ever has to stay somewhere, be it the vet or whatnot, it will help if the other one is already kinda of used to spending time by themself.
