RedBarn is made in the USA. As far as the smell, I really don't think it is that bad! I am a farmer's daughter and their are far worse smells than bully sticks! lol I will try the microwave trick to dry and harden the sticks. She really doesn't get much off when she chews. Now if our cocker, Bailey gets a hold of it.....it is gone in less than hour!
