It really takes a lot of knowledge about the breed and genetics to breed purebred dogs. It is so complex. Purebreds carry a large gene pool and when people just put one cute dog with another cute dog they many times do not realize the recipe for disaster they may be creating.

If you are seriously thinking of breeding please consider finding a very experienced show/breeder that has an established and successful line of dogs to teach you what you need to know. There are already too many genetically damaged Yorkies out there that have caused great heart break to the owners.
