I want to throw one more little thing out there that no one ever thinks of....if his pedigree and the pedigree of the female both have the same recessive gene for..........say, liver shunt......you are going to have quite possibly, a litter with at least one baby with liver shunt. Lets say worse case scenerio and you stud your baby out to some one that is totally clueless about not giving any medicatioons or chemicals while the momma is pregnant....and all the babies are born with cleft palates and die....you KNOW it is going to be the studs fault!!!! You will have to defend your stud, return the stud fee paid,......a whole bunch of stress and trouble and law suits and lawyers and headaches you really do NOT want to get into! Just one more facet of the issue that people just do not know about!
