I have PetPlan for 2 of my 3, and I really like it. As they age though, that's when you have to weigh whether it's more effective to just have a savings account. The younger the dog though, the greater benefit insurance is...usually, I should say. The exception would be like...let's say you had an older dog on ins and his premiums were rather high, but you kept ins anyway; then, he needed cataract surgery-- well, that's 5k to get both eyes done. In that type of case, then ins would likely pay off, despite the high premiums for an older dog. Hope that made sense.
