I do work from home.
I do medical transcription (took courses when I went for Medical Assistant).
I found the company on Craigslist.
You can only do this if you have some kind of training and a love for typing.

I agree with lynzy, though, you should never ever have to pay anything up front to work from home. If you do, its a scam.
