You're quite right, they are, and were bread to deal with that and other (even larger) Varmints. If that had been my guys, they'd have had that Mouse in pieces before I could get a Plastic Bag, and try to take it away from them. I have not seen a Mouse in the yard or house, since I've had Yorkies.
Along with the Varminteering, an additional part of that construct included them being able to do that job, without Human intervention. That's why one has trouble on recalls, and is what makes Yorkies quite stubborn.
