About the only thing I would recommend is make sure you bring some water in case she gets thirsty and to stop at least once on the way home to see if she has to potty. We picked our little one up about 4 hours away and that's what we did, though Izzy did sleep almost all of the way home. And I agree with dawn27, if you can get something with the mom and litter mates scent, that may help also.
