I ended up getting a female (golden) Yorkie companion for Brody, but I first tried to adopt a (solid white) male Yorkie/Maltie mix...and would have tried to get a male parti Yorkie if he'd been a little closer. It just worked out the way it worked out...lol All I was really looking for was similar size, age, energy level and personality...with preference to Yorkie or Yorkie mix. I'd have taken just about any little fur baby as long as Brody also chose that companion...and, yes, he met Mia when we did and they got along perfectly and still do!
