I don't think being the "Alpha" means being a meanie. I think that you just have to demand respect the same way you would with a 2 year old by being firm & consistent.

I had a similar issue when I brought a new girl into my home. Momo is a feisty little thing!!! I spent practically a whole week monitoring them & trying to catch the trouble before it started. I realized that it wasn't just Momo who was being a meanie. Yoshi was fed up by this point & he had no patience for her anymore. He was starting to fight back.

Here's a recent thread to some tips that REALLY helped me...http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...-fighting.html

I ended up treating both of them the same - even though Yoshi was here first. It really helped with Momo's need for dominance. I think that she may have been acting out because she was jealous that I always favored Yoshi. Or maybe she realized that "I" am the boss - not here. But I'm not a behaviorist...so I really have no idea WHY.

My struggle with this is by no means OVER. They had another fight yesterday. But the situation isn't half as bad as it was.

Good luck!!!!
