Awesomeaimee2-

Kudos to you for asking questions and doing what you feel is best for your pup. Just my 2 cents...the breeders and those on here w tons more experience then I could ever have really know their stuff. What may come off as rude is actually a very passioned plea for you to heed their advice. They have experienced birthings gone wrong where babies and mommas were lost. Im sure if we asked they would say there is nothing more heartwrenching then losing a dog considered a child or her pups. My Rosie is a retired breeder (im her retirement home not the breeder) Rosie was retired because she almost lost her life due to babies being too big and the c section not going well. From my understandings that is not unusual w yorkie birthings. Rosie is 6.5-7 lbs and it was not her first litter. I get teary eyed when ever I think this sweet and loving dog almost did not make it! I've been there just as an fyi...I rescued a pittymix who I was 95% certain was pregnant. I wavered on the spay but in the end it was the idea that if I didnt spay her I would be contributing to pet overpopulation and somewhere another puppy would be put to sleep because of these pups. Its not an easy decision..
