 liver shunt
does anyone have any experience? I just rescued an 18 month 2 1/2 lb yorkie from a breeder who stated the dog either has a liver shunt or she injested something which damaged her liver. She's on lactulose and a concoction of antibiotics, pepto and carob as well as a store bought dog food. Would she fair better on home cooked food? I'm not sure about the pepto concoction as it sounds strange to give such a tiny dog pepto every day. All suggestions greatly appreciated, |
