You know...I was thinking some more about this and wondering if one of those 'food tents' might work. All you need is a 'deterrent'...something to make Harry 'think' he cannot go there.
When I really cannot have kitties jump on counters, etc., like cooking for holidays, I always put stuff on the edge where it is visible from the floor, or overhanging (cantelevered) over the edge of the counter so when they look up, they can see there is nowhere to land up there...plus, they would have to jump backwards around that edge then over and forward to the counter, and they cannot physically do that.
So, since those 'picnic food tents' are lightweight weight and collapse, might be easier to store and manage. They are slope-sided and come to a point on top, which 'might' make him realize that the lap is otherwise occupied and slow him down at least long enough for someone to get control of his next move. There are also round mesh covers...I am not sure about size of these covers, however. You could still use the foil as a further deterrent. |
