Biewers are also purebred Yorkies, out of 2 purebred Yorkies,....since they were not able to register these dogs thru AKC because of the color fault, and because Mr.Biewer wanted to be able to show these dogs, and not have them considered "faulted", they were registered thru different registery, but they are purebred Yorkies...nothing mixed in.....I got this directly from the breeder himself in telephone conversations back in early 90's when I was looking at importing breeding pairs and developing the Biewers here in America. I was not at all sure I was going to be able to succeed with such a program, as I am not a large breeder, and there was an enormous amout of bickering back and forth with the registeries over these dogs.... so I did not go there. If you go to Misty Blue Yorkies....I think that is the site....she has a very detailed history of the Biewer Yorkies and how they came to be what they are and exactly why....they are a color fault, white recessive gene, that has been bred to bring out the white gene in both Partis and Biewers....
INCORRECT!!! I messed up!!! It is SNOW BLUE YORKIES !!! THAT IS THE SITE TO READ ALL ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT OF BIEWERS AND PARTIS, IN GREAT DETAIL...!!!!
