I am so sorry to hear about your Tink, loosing one so quickly is awful, actually no matter how they go or how old they are we will never ever have enough time with them. How old was Tink.
When I lost my Duffy due to an illness I was so devastated and wrung out that I said no more dogs my heart can't take it and I threw most of his stuff away, fast foreword a few months and I realized how much I missed the pitter patter of four little paws and his little face when I got home, so I started looking again. My mom said why do you do this to yourself, you know that someday you will have heart ache again. Well I thought about it and realized that while the heart ache was awful thinking about what it would have been like without Duffy in my life would have been worse. So that's when I decided living life with a dog outweighs worrying about what will eventually happen.
Every one of us heals differently some of us on YT have waited a year before getting a new dog, some only a few weeks. Give your self time to grieve and your heart will tell you what is best for you in the future. In the meantime we are here to support you in your time of need.
