LOL! Love those ideas, ladies!
When DH decided on getting our German Shorthair Pointer I thought a LOT about his name. I wanted three parts, as is the norm and this is how I came up with it-
Our neighbor dog across the street was named Duke. "My dog will be more than a Duke, he'll be a Prince!"
I wanted a German name that had "wolf" in it's meaning. Adolf means Noble Wolf. Perfect!
Then I couldn't come up with the last part.
When DH brought Buddy home he was shy and scared and I tried to coax him out of the truck and kept calling him buddy. DH laughed and said that HE has been calling the pup Buddy all day, too. I said, "Well there you go, that's his name! His name will be Prince Adolf Budweiser and we'll call him Buddy!" And so it is. =)
