haha the pink & green bathroom you ripped out!!!! Our main bath and master bath were side by side and both EXTREMELY outdated. The main bath had a PINK tub, toilet and double sinks with pink walls tiles along every wall and even over your head in the shower, the countertops were lime green! AWFUL too!!!! LOL We ripped both bathrooms out, down to the studs and redid them both also about 4 years ago.

Our kitchen project is more like a 'facelift' ... we still have running appliances and water, we did not take out the cabinets, we are painting them and leaving them where they are. We are not moving appliances either. We basically took out a peninsula counter and made an island out of 1/2 of it. We took a 48'' cabinet and cut it in 1/2 and put it along the back wall, thats all for true renovations. We are putting new countertops in and a new sink since it was free with the countertops and we cut out a square in the linoleum where the 'kitchen' area is and are tiling that. Oh and a new backsplash.

The back splash is little 1 inch glass squares in different random color pattern with greys, whites, silvers and black.

My brother is going to do the floor this week, he hopes to have that completed by this weekend, then we wait 3 long painful weeks for the counters and sink to get installed. In the meantime I have to finish painting the cabinets and they are spraying the heater units white, changing all the electrical outlets to white (adding more outlets also) and putting wanes coating on the Island to match the walls. After the counters are in, we are going to put LED lighting under the cabinets and replace the ceiling lighting unit (not sure to what yet). Then we'll be done except the cleaning! I'm hoping within a month the project will be completed. In the meantime though I still have a fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave and sink! YAY!!!
