My dog was not neutered until he was two years old. Many people don't neuter their dogs until they are older. As long as he doesn't have any pre-existing medical conditions that might compromise his health if he were to go under anesthesia, neutering him at the age of four should not be dangerous at all. My vet told me that the area might swell more than a puppy being neutered (but only for a couple of days) and they might be a little more sore, but it isn't dangerous and you should get pain meds for him from your vet when he is neutered so that shouldn't be an issue. So all in all it shouldn't be dangerous.

Your Yorkie is such a cutie and of course babies always are =D! I've never owned three dogs before ... good luck with raising your little puppy!
