Default Yorkie smell

Hi, i'm thinking about getting a yorkie and currently doing all the research so that i know what i'm getting myself into and be prepared...

My question is about the smell of the yorkies. i know all dogs have a natural smell. i also read that good hygiene, quality food, and skin/dental diseases affect how a dog will smell. However, i kept on reading about yorkies being "smellier" than other dogs? Is that true in your experience? How does a yorkie compared to other long hair toy breeds (eg. maltese? cotons?) that supposedly smell less?

Also, is it possible to completely eliminate the "doggie smell"? i'm planning on keeping my yorkie really clean but there are people around me who are very sensitive to the smell. By "doggie smell" i don't even mean the one that it's stinky from a distance (hopefully that will never happen)...but the musty smell that lingers on your hand after petting the dogs.

Thanks!
