Oh yes!!! When I first got my little guy - we were in the kitchen, and he got his hind feet against my chest and pushed himself right out of my arms. He fell at least 5 feet and slid up against the refrigerator. It scared me to death. He slowly got up and went to his bed a few feet away. It scared him too - and I'm sure it must have hurt him. I picked him up immediately and made sure he could walk, etc. After a few minutes - he appeared to be none the worse. Of course, I kept a close eye on him all evening. I still feel very lucky that he didn't break any bones. Now when I carry him, I actually hold tightly onto one of his front legs.
***** He is still a total wiggleworm and has no fear. He jumped off the dining room table tonight (he was up there eating his treat so that he wouldn't steal the treat my other dog was eating). I was right there beside him, had turned around for only a second to see if the other dog was finished, and he jumped before I even knew he was going to do it.
The other day, he sailed off the back of the davenport (over the part where we sit) out onto the middle of the floor. This was at least a 7 or 8 foot flight for him --onto a soft carpet, thank God!
My pup isn't real tiny. He's 5 months old and probably weighs 6 1/2 pounds, but nevertheless his antics scare me. He is a climber and a jumper. It's not that I don't watch him. I am sure that I have stopped him from doing 99% of the things he has thought about doing.
Sorry about your fall. And, I know how frightened you must have been. I was too.
