If there is no "house rule" about bringing food/drinks into the movie, then great! Go for it! But if they have a "rule' that you are not supposed to bring in your own concession stand, it is sneaking and lying....not stealing this time, just sneaking and lying and cheating. Why would that silly movie theater not want you to bring in your own food and drinks??? Because you are cutting into THEIR profit margin that they make selling tickets and food from their concession stand. The LAST time I took my son to a movie, it cost me over $20.00 for tickets, and the fun when I was a kid was to get a hot dog, a bucket of pop corn, a drink and 2-3 candy bars. OMG!!! I wanted my son to experience that fun and I am happy he did, because THAT will never happen again! I have paid less at a fancy resturant for a 4 course meal, than what it cost me to get all that junk food at the concession stand! But I guess the movie house pays staff on money it makes in ticket sales and concession stand sales....plus paying for ARMED HOUSTON POLICEMEN to provide security when the policemen are off duty. So I will pay what ever the prices are, as that is keeping someone employed at that theater. |
