What happened to so many of our longtime, respected breeders here on YT? There are so few left and they hardly ever post anymore. I read somewhere there was one battle too many and they got tired of being attacked for their opinions, etc. Wonder if that is really the problem? I agree with Mardelin's Post #18 on this subject - at 12 weeks minimum to help the puppy get its best start in life. And that last month is when so much imprinting is said to go on when you read all the "experts" books on canine brain and learning development. Between myself and my son, we probably have 70 books on dog development and training and mine are mostly audio as I can't read that well anymore. That way when they do make that big step and go to a new home, they are better able to cope with the stress of separation from their pack and all the newness, strangeness of their new home.
