My rescue Ralphie fights me too and acts like I'm hurting him, which makes it especially hard to do. I decided to give him a high value treat instead of his regular treat, and I've had some amazing results. The sell parmesan cheese in flakes in a plastic tub and one flake isn't very many calories, and he loves it so much. I've been able to increase tooth brushing time from 2 seconds to 30 seconds. Another advantage of the parmesan cheese, it may actually help fight tooth decay and gum disease. I also still use the petzlife.
