Just wanted to point out... the dog in the thread/linked posted was
not a Pit Bull, but a Bull Terrier. Two very different breeds. But irregardless, I agree that they should never ever be left alone. I'd never own one with my small dog, simply due to their dog aggression issues. It's a well known trait in Pits.
