This is the time for you to step up and be brave, for your pup..he is dependent on you to make the best decisions and see for his care. You say you have money, ok then get that pup to another vet, preferable the er vet or a Vet School near you? I don't like the response from your vet, not one single bit and without a lot more testing, etc etc., his solution sucks, and I think hes a pisspoor excuse for a vet...just my opinion...I would and WAS the same way when they told me this about my Mini, and let me just tell you she is 8 years old and costs me tons but shes happy, she has a good quality of life and I would do it all over again. (also, said vet was fired and I took it all to the Board)....
