I'm not in the insurance game but I know they do it for the bottom line - that's all that matters seemingly to the "good hands" and lizard(he's a lizard to me!) and "blah-blah is there" people. Mostly they don't even mind bad
PR except in isolated cases. You can suggest your neighbor call your state insurance board and ask them how to fight this. Their people will steer her to the right department and they can advise. Or see if you have a state insurance ombudsman in your area to turn to for advice.
Since Alisha is in insurance, she can likely give you good advice as you really need some insider info on how it works if your neighbor wants to put up a fight.
