Yeah, creamer is just a word for other brands of the same or similar things in Coffee-Mate. Got one of my plain, non-flavored creamers out to look at the ingredients. Yikes! For 10 calories a teaspoon you get:
Corn syrup solids, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, sodium caseinate(a milk derivative[?!?]), dipotassium phosphate, mono- and diglycerides, sugar, lactylated monoglycerides, silicon dioxide, sodium stearoyl, lactylate carrageenan, soy lecithin, artificial flavor, artificial color.
I may have misspelled some of the above due to my eyes since the printing is in blue and tiny but that's my best representation of what I put in my coffee when I have creamer. Probably going to drive Spellcheck over the edge!
I didn't know there was milk derivative. Wonder what that means? What part of the milk to they derive, I wonder???? Imagine, working that hard to dry out milk to powder or boil it and grab the steam or who knows how they do it? But all that work to get out part of the milk to go in this stuff!!! Feeling a little queasy now. Sounds like I'm drinking Strontium-90 or something in my coffee!
