It's not uncommon for them to need some teeth pulled. Make sure you ask how much extra extractions will be. Some vets don't charge extra if it's only one tooth. Mine doesn't.
As for bloodwork, yes if it comes back normal that means liver can handle the anesthetic and you don't have to worry.
