We have several throws on our couch and Joey acts the same way with the fabric throws. She's not going to want to lie directly on the leather couch, it's not as warm as fabric, and they love to claw fabric as if making a bed in leaves. If I were you, I'd get a throw and put it on the arm of the couch and another one and put it on the seat and let her take her pick. You could put the pillows away for a few weeks until she get use to the throws, but I think she will prefer it. Joey uses both, but he only claws the throw and he can't really hurt it and it's easy to wash. Just be glad she's not chewing and scratching your couch!
