That's cute! What a smart pup! She's looking for a warm, comfy bed to lay on and when she can't find one, she makes her own.
My last yorkie, Chelsea, used to do that with my fabric pillows that were on the leather couches in my family room, at my old house. She hated laying on the leather....perhaps it feels too cold? I started putting a folded blanket on the couch, big enough for her to lay on, then she'd always lay on that & leave the pillows alone. If my son or daughter sat on one end of the couch, Chelsea would push her blanket over next to them, so she could lay on it by them.
