I think you just need to be in tune with your dog and know if it's just a bark for attention or if it's a bark because of needing something. Mandie wakes me up with a bark in the morning because she has to go potty. Sometimes at the computer, she just wants attention so she barks. I don't get onto her though..I just pick her up and put her on the desk in front of me (I'm an old desktop computer user..no laptop or tablet here lol).
I figure that if she's barking for attention, I should give it to her. I mean, I am gone all day at work..she needs some attention and loving. (so does her mommy
