Default Pets when shipped in Cargo...

my brother just helped his girlfriend move along with her 3 cats. they each carried one cat in cabin and one had to be checked as cargo. they needed a health certificate for the cats for travel, which is totally understandable. but the one in cargo had to state that it's okay for the cat to be in temperatures below 45 degrees !!!! Evidently the "temperature controled cargo area suitable for pet travel" is kept at 33 degrees!!!!

they stuffed the kennel with lots of pillows, blankets, towels and sweaters for the cat. but they said there was a puppy being shipped via cargo too with nothing in the kennel, not even a single thin towel! she felt badly for her cat but even worse for that puppy!

it's no wonder some puppies being shipped may be sick on arrival.
just a thought to those who travel and considered having their furbaby in cargo... best to make reservations in advance and have the little one safe in the cabin.
