Did you get an update on your pup? I'm in a similar situation:
My dog is 7 months old and 2 ounces shy of 3 lbs. We've had him since he was about 4.5months old and he has only gained about 1/2 a pound. We took him in to get neutered last Saturday and the vet was concerned about his tiny stature and his inability to gain weight (he actually lost 2 ounces from the month before). She suggested we do bloodwork to see if he is suffering from liver shunts. I'm really nervous about the outcome but would appreciate if you or anyone else would share some other symptoms their dogs had prior to discovering the shunt? |
