As far as vet records, I would just get your vets fax number and ask that she fax his records to your vet so you have a complete set of records. Or else just tell her you want all of his records to keep a file on him. That's what I do. Cali had many other problems but the KC was not a result of any of the other conditions. I just got her from a bad breeder. The KC lasted 3 months but was only bad for about 5 weeks then they would just cough a little at night.
