I think you need to follow your heart and dreams. I think you will regret it if you don't. That is just my opinion. Again, I have never relocated so take this advice however you want to. You will not hurt my feelings if you tell me I am clueless.
As far as the car goes, I think I would tackle one hurdle at a time. Which would you prefer to happen first? Once you are back in a comfortable situation, then tackle the next one. Again, just my opinion.
This is a tough decision and I wish you the best of luck! |
Thanks for your response. It's fine that you don't have any first hand experience with relocating. I am looking for any and all advice. I currently do not have a car, but it's ok because I manage to get to the important stuff (work and school). However, it does put a damper on doing much outside of these two things. As someone else has mentioned waiting might be better. Especially because PA has lower prices and taxes. I plan to take trips back and forth from NY to PA looking for a job this summer and to get a better feel of it all. By next winter I can seriously plan to make that move because I will be done with school. Tech... I guess I could always rent a car first, then buy one. Renting tends to be relatively cheap and would only be temporary to ease the burden of relocating ect. ect. like you have mentioned.
I don't have family or anybody in PA. For the most part, my family is spread out in NY and other states I wouldn't dream of moving to. To be honest I do not know why I have such a strong urge to move there. It is something I always wanted to do. I don't have any real attachments here, so I don't fear being alone. If anything it is the fear of relocating after being here so long. I feel if I don't do it soon, I will never get out of here. I've work at my job for 7 years and I am too comfortable. I have the ability to move up, but then I'll be here even longer.
