My fiance and I made the hour drive to go see Jax yesterday. He's still a happy little guy but he just doesn't have the energy to show it... he's been eating a little bit. We asked the vet if we could try and feed him while we were there because he doesn't really eat much when separated from his people and they said okay and I got him to eat MAYBE a tablespoon of food off my fingers.
Now today my parents made the visit. Still not much eating however his Bilirubin count is down with means this liver could be working again and an ultrasound showed his liver remains to be a normal size which is a good sign.
He will remain in the hospital overnight on an IV so he can continue getting the nutrients he needs before they do a biopsy and run the needed tests.
He has been giving 50/50 odds of making it through this so please please keep our baby in your thoughts and prayers
