Default Our 3-year old Yorkie is in trouble

Our 3-year-old Yorkie Jax is coming home today, but we're not sure he's going to make it. He's got a 59 BUN (was as high as 88). The vet says if they hadn't had him on IV fluids the last two weeks, he'd have died. So we're bringing him home to see if we can keep up the subQ fluids and help the little guy have a somewhat normal life.

Has anyone ever heard of a Yorkie with kidney problems that got through it and got his old life back again?

We fear the worst, but we need to know what we're dealing with.

He's only had 3 years of life and he means so much to my wife and me. That's not enough life. He deserves more.
