My brother lives in Albuquerque, N.M. and they often now have tamales for Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, along with the turkey, dressing and pumpkin pie. We had a girl at work who would often bring up a whole pan of tamales before each Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday as long as she worked there. Her family was from Mexico and she said they always made them along with traditional dishes for the Holidays all her life.
