I took Beau to the vet today. He checked him and did a biopsy on the affected area. He said that his besy guess would be that Beau is allergic to fleas. He said that Beau does not have fleas but it was possible that one got on him and bit him. He gave him a steroid injection and an antibiotic injection (there were signs of a staph infection.) and predicted that Beau will be much better by tomorrow.

I did start the coconut oil both internally and externally. The vet advised me to keep doing that.
