Columbo is 9 years old and around 8 lbs. He can hold it from 8 to 5 if needed, but it's rare that I'm not around to let him out several times during the day. He really only asks to go out in the evening. The rest of the time, I'm asking him or giving him the opportunity if he has to. I think you are smart to take him out every two hours because you've trained him well, giving less opportunities for accidents. You can start to increase that time now, though. The problem with Columbo is that he rarely pees it all out in one pee. I think he saves it, especially on walks, to mark different areas. So I have to make sure that if I'm going out for a long day, that I've given him multiple times to pee before leaving, like walk him around the yard or a short walk down the road, so I know he doesn't have to go. I think he just sleeps whenever he's home alone, though, so he never has to go until there's more excitement going on.
